Copper Cat Books – Henderson’s Independent Used Bookstore

Nestled in the heart of Henderson, Nevada, Copper Cat Books opened its doors in December 2017 — and proudly celebrated its 7th anniversary on December 9, 2024. We’re honored to be the only independent bookstore in Henderson, serving up stories, surprises, and a little magic ever since.

We are primarily a used bookstore, offering a constantly changing selection of titles for curious minds. We also carry select new releases — books we personally think our customers will love. And beyond the pages? You’ll find reading accessories, gifts, and some fun, quirky treasures — music boxes, novelty pillows, jewelry, even collectible wands and character figurines (yes, some unusual finds for a bookstore… but we like a little oddness).

Our Story: A Dream Made Real

Owning a bookstore had been a long-standing dream for us. After years of running small businesses and exploring bookshop opportunities locally and beyond, we finally decided to just go for it. We found a cozy spot we could truly make our own — and Copper Cat Books was born.

Of course, we quickly realized our personal collection wasn’t enough to fill the shelves — so we set off in search of something special. We acquired the libraries of two collectors with wildly different tastes, and thanks to them (and a few more book lovers downsizing their shelves), our inventory is a wonderfully diverse blend of genres, styles, and stories.

Our shop is located in Amador Plaza, right across the street from the Horizon Ridge Post Office (between Arroyo Grande and Valle Verde). Inside, you’ll find more than just books:

Much of our inventory consists of unique, one-off books. If you spot something you love, don’t wait — once it’s sold, we may never have another like it. And yes, we can hold items with a deposit if needed.
